2009 Entrepreneurship Academy
The academy is designed for researchers who want to learn to analyze, enhance and communicate the broader potential impact of their research; explore business opportunities and build the skill sets for a career in industry and design research programs that address practical applications.
The program is taught by some of the best venture capitalists, angel investors, and entrepreneurs in California, alongside UC faculty.

Participants learn:
- A practical understanding of how innovations move from the laboratory to the market.
- The skills and steps necessary to select, guide, and ultimately advocate the commercial potential of their own research.
- A strong initial network of professionals who can help mentor and connect these participants as they move forward
