Tailored Research Projects
Independent of participation in the above programs, the Tailored Research Projects follow university sponsored research project guidelines. They can include a single or many faculty participants from across the disciplines of the Foods for Health Institute. Such projects are geared toward addressing the specific concerns of the industry partner and will typically have very specific deliverables. The Foods for Health Institute will work closely with the industry partner as a facilitator to: identify appropriate research projects; develop and implement a timeline and budget; build teams of both expert faculty researchers and university administrators to ensure the success of the project; and assist in the navigation of the university's sponsored research project policies and guidelines. The industry partner's cost of the research project will vary depending on the scope of the project. There is an estimated 52% overhead rate for this program.
