Our team-based approach to the science of foods for health.

A strength of FFHI is its ability to bring together minds from a variety of disciplines.  Individuals participate in a cooperative effort to tackle some of today's big health, nutrition, and science questions.  We pride ourselves on the productivity and results obtained from such collaborations.  This page provides not only current faculty and associated graduate students but also includes opportunities for new member involvement in the initiative.

billristenpart FFHI Faculty member, Bill Ristenpart

was recently published in Nature for his exciting new research!  The new study shows that there is a point at which an increased electrical field actually keeps droplets from coalescing.

These surprising findings, published in the Sept. 17 issue of the journal Nature, could lead to improved applications in diverse fields including microchip manufacturing, biofuel and crude oil purification, and food oil processing. The research also increases our understanding of atmospheric conduction.  Link to article...
