Dave Dallas, a graduate student in the German Lab working on a new project of the Milk Bioactives and Children\u2019s Health Programs, recently received an NSF fellowship. The fellowship will provide 3 years of funding for a project that span across multiple disciplines with the goal of studying milk digestion in premature infants.
Nicholas Wade, Science writer for The New York Times, recently interviewed FFHI researchers David Mills and Bruce German and reported on the important findings of the Milk Bioactives Program.
Dr. Sara Schaefer is the new Associate Director of Educational Programs at the Foods For Health Institute. She received her doctorate in Nutritional Biology from UC Davis. Her past experience with developing and implementing educational programs in schools both at home and abroad, and her experience in the non-profit sector focusing on community nutrition have prepared her for her new role at the FFHI. Dr. Schaefer shares her plans for her Educational Programs work at the Institute.
